Fabbri Group, with its headquarters based in Vignola (Modena -Italy), is an international industrial leader in the production and sale of machines and films for fresh food packaging, for over 60 years on the market. With around 500 employees, 160 patents granted in various countries around the world and 5% of the turnover invested in Research and Development, Fabbri Group offers to industry, food processors and retail solutions that cover all sectors: meat, fruit, vegetables, dairy products, fish, gastronomy. Active in approximately 80 countries worldwide, Fabbri Group is perfectly integrated into the distribution chain and stands out for its attentive care of its customers’ needs.

CAVECO – in 2019 celebrating its 40th anniversary since its foundation when the tray-sealing packaging began to grow – has built up a solid reputation over time thanks to the extreme robustness and reliability of its machines. The Company also specialized in the measuring of products considered “difficult-to-dose”, such as Olivier salads, semi-solid products, etc., and in the offer of complete lines dedicated to the preparation of various foods. Over the years, the great attention to the market led CAVECO, one of the first in the world, to gain considerable experience in the sector of fresh meat packaged in MAP and SKIN with tray-sealers.

Stefano Mele, CEO Fabbri Group, comments: “This acquisition represents a natural expansion of our Group’s business, further strengthening our position in the strategic segment of tray-sealing machine and packaging line production. We will share mutual experiences and skills, making the most of the business and the solutions acquired, continuing to invest in the evolution of our products and in the development of the market.”

“We are happy to join Fabbri Group – Franco Vellutini, founder of CAVECO, adds further – because this will allow us to join forces and accelerate the development of our strategy.”

The Vellutini family will remain in the Company shareholder base and will actively contribute to the future development of the Group from the CAVECO headquarters in Palazzolo sull’Oglio (Brescia – Italy).

Part of the financial resources necessary to carry out the transaction have been made available by Banco BPM, an important Italian banking institution, close to Fabbri Group in its growth path in the recent time.
